A priest visits a small remote fishing village in Ireland in hopes of helping a young girl, who is possessed and pregnant. He finds the victim to be in a dire state and about to give birth to a child in a twisted play on immaculate conception. There is a striking similarity to other possession films but the unexpected twist gives it an original feeling. Elegantly shot, the cinematography captures the heavy fog and dilapidated living conditions of the residents, which makes for an unsettling and eerie settingg and a well suited backdrop to the story.
