The Witch

ATOMIC RATING | 4.5 |

the_witch_reviewThe Witch is Built on the simple premise of a Puritan family who is banished from their village and forced to settle on an isolated piece of land surrounded by haunting woods. The film successfully establishes a sense of dread and desperation within the family and the fast-paced delivery of the old english spoken by the actors adds an air of authenticity to the film. Beware if you are an individual looking for a horror flick with numerous amounts of jumpscares, you may be extremely disappointed. The Witch relies completely on precise music placement, spectacular use of scenery and intense dialogue to develop a continuous labyrinth of fear.
