Cauchemar Capitonné

ATOMIC RATING | 4.6 |

cauchemar_capitonne__posterCauchemar Capitonné immediately catches your attention with elegant shots of something as simple as an old chair. This short film is incredibly original and certainly worth discussing the fact that director/writer Jean-Claude Leblanc was able to transform a beat up, old chair into to something terrifying. Giving a simple stationary object, that we all use everyday, a horrific backstory takes true craftsmanship. Cauchemar Capitonné is filmed beautifully and establishes a full backstory primarily expressed through imagery rather than dialogue which I personally prefer. Through cinematography, imagery, and creative suggestion Cauchemar Capitonné establishes a reasonable amount of horror and gore within a short amount of time.  See the trailer here.
