Ok, I really wanted to like The Houses October Built. It’s a pretty cool idea, road trip with a bunch of friends, driving cross country, checking out the scariest haunted houses… sounds like a dream come true. But this movie just fails epically with the stupidity of the characters. I am sorry, but the second you know some crazy ass clowns and a freakish looking girl are following you and breaking into your RV while you are asleep, it’s time to call this trip off and go home. Then to top that off, you go down a scary backwards road when your friend is missing and fail to call the cops… sorry but that’s just plain stupid. I was willing to see past the bland moments in between their visits to the haunted houses, but oh man, stupidity like this I just can’t forgive. It’s unfortunate because this movie had a lot of potential.
